Art Direction for Pizzos Packaging 
A 2019 GD USA American Packaging Design Award Winner​​​​​​​
Below is my work on the brand identity for the jerky product, Pizzos. Pizzos is an innovative meat snack made from pepperoni slices marinaded in pizza inspired ingredients and cooked like a jerky. The goal with this project was to embody "bold" and "fun" while remaining unique and legible in an inundated snack aisle or grab-and-go environment. The bright colors, textures, playful tag lines, and patented triangular pouch design ensure that Pizzos stands out among the crowd and appeals to a youthful consumer, both physically and at heart.
I led the art direction for Pizzos, a new product launch that won the 2019 GD USA American Packaging Design Award. Specifically, I executed brand identity development, copy writing and design for marketing assets, and collaboration with an outside design agency to create an eye-catching logo and unique packaging that embodies the voice of the product completely unique in its product vertical.
The selling point here is the innovative triangular pouch that alludes to a slice of pizza to reinforce the flavor profile and "snack-ability" of the pepperoni jerky that's inside.

Full packaging design from pouch to pallet intended for placement into Costco and other wholesale distributors. 
As the iconic pouches can not be seen from the outer case on shelves, it was important to drive home the pizza flavor ideation while still maintaining the clarity that it is a meat snack product.
