Hawaii's Finest
Hawaii's Finest gave a creative prompt indicating a departure from typical convenience store meat snack packaging and instead emphasized high quality, fresh, and healthy snacks with a nod to Hawaiian coffee packaging. The target audience is young women rather than typical jerky demographics. I chose to visually communicate this with saturated youthful colors, a minimalistic and open composition, clean illustrated ingredient callouts for each flavor, and a subtle overlaid traditional Polynesian pattern.

South Pork (ViacomCBS's South Park)
I had the opportunity to create pre-printed pouch designs to be included with a proposal to ViacomCBS for a licensing deal with South Park, the infamous long-standing animated tv series. The goal was to use easily recognizable imagery from the show that could work in conjunction with quippy flavor names and copy to develop a marketable bacon jerky product. Flat and bright colors were chosen to emulate the construction paper used in the original animation of the show. The bottom set of bags show a slight paper texture to indicate printing on a Kraft paper pouch to push that concept.

Sippies Flavor Straw
Sippies is a candy straw product that flavors milk targeted towards mothers with young children. I was asked to explore some colorful, playful, and illustrative approaches to their labels along with determining an overall feel for the brand and logo. The packaging is a clear plastic pouch with a die-cut polypropylene label to be printed and adhered. The plastic pouch will allow the product to be seen through the bottom window.

Meat Heads Snack Co.
The Meat Heads team had an established logo, some buzzwords, and general core values prepared, but needed some examples to decide how to visually apply those ideals. Having been given largely free rein, I explored a variety of possible aesthetics for the Meat Heads' product line up. I focused on unique use of film packaging and punchy and direct copy to drive home the focal points of wholesome recipes, bold flavors, authenticity and a playful attitude.
