Can'd Aid is a nationally recognized non-profit rallying volunteers to distribute water, provide access and opportunities for underserved youth to experience music, arts and the outdoors; and protect and restore the environment. In addition to their other feats of do-goodery, Can'd Aid has recycled the equivalent of 72 million aluminum cans and has donated nearly 2 million cans of drinking water to post-disaster communities.
In early 2021, they opened up the CANvas CANpaign competition calling artists to create their next water can design. The requirements detailed a focus on the sustainability of aluminum and its infinite recyclability, the use of up to 6 colors, and formatted for printing on a 12oz can. My entry detailed below placed 2nd as selected by a public online voting system.
